The MTN Super League was back in full swing after an international break, with week four delivering a packed schedule of action and drama. The weekend’s fixtures produced fourteen goals, with six teams securing victories, as the league witnessed records, derbies, first wins, and surprises.

At Railway Stadium,Kabwe Warriors recorded their first season victory, beating Nkana 1-0 with Francis Banda scoring their first goal, thereby ending a streak of 3 consecutive Goalless draws. Goalkeeper Mangani Banda earned his 4th consecutive clean sheet.

At Nkoloma Stadium, Nchanga Rangers suffered their first defeat of the season after losing to Red Arrows, with goals from Michee Malonga and Alasane Diarra ending their perfect start to the season following three consecutive wins.

Nchanga Rangers have have slipped to third in the standings after a thier first defeat. Nchanga Striker Christopher Itaka failed to score in a game for the first time this season and Goalkeeper Victor chabu conceded for the first time this season

“Very painful defeat but we just have to take it and work on our mistakes we made this afternoon and I think we didn’t come to the party as a team,we started very low,we couldn’t control the game and they manto control the game and it payed off,they showed the character and wanted it most than us and that is what mattered most in this Game”

F.C MUZA head coach, Nowell Phiri, praised his players for a spirited display against Green Eagles in the highly contested Musanza Derby. During a post-match interview, Phiri expressed his satisfaction with the result, describing the game as a tough encounter. He stated that the team will continue to work hard, taking each game as it comes.

Defending champions Power Dynamos secured their second win of the season, thanks to a brace from Kenyan striker Moses Shumah in their 2-0 victory over Napsa Stars, marking his home debut for Power Dynamos and scored his first goals in the MTN Super League

Napsa Stars remain winless this season, having recorded two draws and two losses.

Zesco United secured their third win of the season with a narrow 1-0 victory after Mufulira Wanderers defender Bwembya Kakungu scored an own goal.

Green Buffaloes bounced back to winning ways after two consecutive losses, defeating Mines United 2-0, with Bornwell Mwape scoring his third goal of the season and Erick Chomba registering his first. Mines United is still seeking its first win in the Super League, having lost three games and drawn one, and currently occupies the bottom spot in the standings.

Mutondo Stars have recorded their first victory of the season, ending a three-game losing streak, thanks to Moses Mulenga’s goal.

Kansanshi Dynamos are still searching for their first win, with two draws and two losses in their first four games.

Elsewhere, Zanaco and Nkwazi drew 1-1, with both teams scoring penalties. Christopher Zulu scored first for Nkwazi, while Eliya Mandanji equalized for Zanaco. Konkola Blades and FC Leopards also ended in a 1-1 draw, with Victor Mubanga scoring a penalty for Konkola and Gibson Banda equalizing for FC Leopards.
