Nkana FC Confirms FIFA Correspondence, Assures Fans of Continued Focus
Nkana Football Club has confirmed receiving official correspondence from FIFA concerning an ongoing administrative matter linked to previous contractual obligations, but has moved to reassure supporters that the situation is under control.
In a press statement, the Kitwe giants said club management is fully aware of the issues raised and is actively addressing them through the appropriate legal and football governance channels, in close collaboration with the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ).
Nkana FC emphasized that the matter is administrative in nature and has not disrupted the club’s day-to-day football activities. The club remains focused on its sporting targets and preparations ahead of the resumption of the MTN Super League.
The 13-time league champions also appealed for calm among supporters and stakeholders, assuring them that all developments will be communicated transparently through official club platforms when appropriate.
Among the contractual issues Nkana is facing, is that of former player Gloire Bakafwa whom they are supposed to pay K300,000 or risk a three season player registration ban for breaching employment obligations.
