The Zambia Under-17 Men’s National Team wind up their TotalEnergies CAF Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations 2026 | COSAFA Qualifiers with a formality tie against Madagascar at Hearts Stadium.

Coach Chris Kaunda will be hoping his charges bow out on a high with a win to salvage some pride on what has been palpably a tournament to forget for the record-four time champions.

Zambia suffered a 4-0 defeat to South Africa in the opening match and succumbed to a 2-1 loss at the hands of Malawi to surrender their title and miss out on Africa Cup of Nations qualification.

Despite the two losses the junior Chipolopolo led by Nthasilwe Malupande, Mapalo Simute, William Zulu and Emmanuel Mbuti are expected to sign off on a high with a win over Madagascar.

The Islanders have equally been on a disappointing streak losing 3-1 to Malawi before South Africa sunk them 5-1 to confine them to the foot of Group B.

Kickoff for the match today (Tuesday) is at 15h00 and will be live on Cosafa TV and FIFA +.
