Forest Rangers Appoint 2012 AFCON Winner as Assistant Coach

ZPL National League side Forest Rangers FC has appointed Zambian football legend Chintu Kampamba as the club’s First Assistant Coach, the club has confirmed in a statement.
Kampamba joins head coach Boyd Mulwanda on the technical bench, with his appointment taking immediate effect and running until the end of the current season.
In a statement, the club said the move is aimed at strengthening the technical setup as Forest Rangers seeks improved performances in the league.
“The club expresses confidence that Kampamba’s addition will strengthen the technical setup and enhance team performance as Forest Rangers continues to push for improved results,” the statement read.
Forest Rangers noted that Kampamba brings vast experience, leadership and a winning mentality that is expected to positively influence both the playing squad and overall team morale.
The club has since officially welcomed the former international, expressing optimism that his presence will add value both on and off the pitch.
“The Club’s Executive Committee has welcomed his appointment and looks forward to his contribution in the team’s pursuit of success,” the statement added.
As at Week 27, the Ndola side is seventh on the log with 44 points, six points off the top four. They will need to finish in the top four to secure promotion to the MTN Super League.
Kampamba’s arrival comes at a crucial time for Forest Rangers as the Ndola-based outfit aims to climb the standings and finish the season strongly.
The club has since officially welcomed the former international, expressing optimism that his presence will add value both on and off the pitch.
