Nkana aim to shoot down Green Eagles

The MTN Super League enters Week 25 this weekend as teams continue battling for the title, continental qualification and survival.
League leaders Power Dynamos remain top of the standings with 51 points, five ahead of second-placed Red Arrows, while Nchanga Rangers sit third as the race for the championship intensifies.
However, the fixture involving Kansanshi Dynamos and Power Dynamos scheduled for Solwezi has been postponed, with the league yet to announce a new date.

One of the standout matches this weekend will see Nkana FC host Green Eagles at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe on Saturday.
Nkana interim head coach Elijah Tana says his side is determined to secure maximum points in front of their home supporters.
“We are working on winning ways. Green Eagles are a strong side, but we want to make the most of playing at home. The players are relaxed and focused on our plan. Our fans should come in numbers and support the team,” Tana said.

Nkana will be looking to maintain their positive momentum under the new technical bench as they continue their push up the table.
But Green Eagles head coach Perry Mutapa says his side is equally motivated to collect all three points despite the challenge of playing on the Copperbelt.
Mutapa admitted that preparations have been affected by a congested fixture schedule and travel demands but insists his team remains ready for the encounter.
“There is not much time to prepare because of the congestion of games, but the preparations started a long time ago. Nkana have the advantage of playing at home, and their supporters give them extra motivation, but we are also here to get the points,” he said.
Green Eagles travel to Kitwe boosted by a 1–0 victory over Nkwazi FC on Wednesday and the return of defender Bornface Sunzu, which Mutapa says has added stability to the team.
Elsewhere this weekend, fixtures will see FC Leopards face Red Arrows, Kabwe Warriors take on Mutondo Stars, and Zesco United host Napsa Stars.
